So, it is safe to say it’s not about the deed in itself, it’s YOU. It’s ME. It’s that inherent resistance to work or move that has to be overcome before motion is achieved (Physics classes weren’t a waste after all) just, these ones are disguising and making distractions take the center stage but I’m ready for it now ( Mike Tyson mode activated).
I want to say I will be disciplined. Won’t open my video player or any Social media app until I’m done with my work or I’ll only entertain them within my 10–15 mins break in between tasks and be strict with it, but I’ve realized already that currently I’m not strong enough to resist these temptations. Especially when I’m answerable to no one but myself for the things I need to do. Plus, old habits don’t die quick right…
So, while I truly admire you if you can pull off the “strict and disciplined" thingy, I’ll be taking the easier route: FLEE
I’ve taken my first step by acknowledging this weakness. My next step is going on a break off K-drama and YouTube series(the partner in crime).
I’ll run away and keep gathering momentum to face my distractions heads on. Until then, I’ll be on the move and we can be partners on the track you know, have you identified any "Thief of your productive time" ?
Are you willing to fight them off but like me, you’re still not strong?
You might want to consider fleeing for a while. I’m with you on this. Let’s break this jinx of procrastination and distraction together...
